A Silent Voice - Appreciation Design

Koe No Katachi or the silent voice is the Japanese animated teen drama film released on 2016. The most wonderful animated movie, the movie is about a bully and the victim from their childhood and adulthood. The movie describes how every action of us will reflect on us one day. How cruel bully can be? How kind the human can be?

This is one of the best movies I ever have seen, Definitely, this one is on my top 10 list. I like to talk about this movie so I create this design and write what I understand and love about the movie.

The opening scene of the movie is the little bit confusing, before which the movie, I read the synopsis about the movie which gives me the idea about the movie and the character. In the opening scene of the movie, Shōya Ishida, the lead male character of the movie walks towards the edge of the bridge to commit suicide. I am like, ok he is the bully now he wants to commit suicide, but why? Before next shot appears, my brain starts to come out with the possible outcomes to explain the situation, maybe he committed some serious crime to his victim and he wants to commit suicide before getting caught by the authorities or he felt terrible for making his victims live miserably.

The next shot appears and the flashback strikes, the movie took us to his elementary school life in which he was considered as the hero or some kind of cool guy by some of his friends because he bullies his fellow students.

In his elementary school, the new girl appears named “Shōko Nishimiya” lead female character, beautiful girl but she can’t hear or speak. Ishida starts to bully her in all possible ways, at one extend he starts to snatch hearing aid from her ears that cause her serious injury in her ears and he gets into trouble. But he didn’t show any remorse over his actions and start to blame Nishimiya. After the incident, most of his classmates ostracized him from their group and Nishimiya moved away.

Speaking of her she has the greatest inferiority complex, she thinks, she doesn’t deserve to live, she has to die, but she didn’t show it up until Ishida throws her book in the water after the school. According to Buddhism, Karma is everything, Nishimiya’ s disabilities are the results of her wrong deeds in her previous life.

Even though, she lived her life with such burden inside her. She didn’t want to hurt anyone, so she always keeps telling sorry for everything she does.

Later, Ishida realizes his fault, felt guilty and wants to make it up to Nishimiya, but no matter what he did he can’t give her back what he takes from her. He Childhood. He tries hard to make it up and he starts to be nicer, even though he can’t face most of the people’s face. He can’t able to see the people’s face all he can see is X mark in their face. The story goes on with more drama and character, finally, Ishida makes himself and Nishimiya happy, they go to fire festival, but Nishimiya leaves before everyone, a few moments later Ishida go to Nishimiya’s apartment. He saw her standing on the edge of balcony wall to jump she was about to commit suicide. Ishida hurry’s up and grab her hands, he tries to pull her back after few attempts he manages to bring her back, unfortunately, he fell.

The Movie taught very important life lessons, all of your actions follow you, what you did today will leave make on your future? This post may reveal most of the stores but not the important one. You have to watch the movie to understand the deep philosophy of Silent voice.

I definitely recommend this movie to everyone and this is completely my view on the movie, you view may be different.
