Ballers Bridge - Player Card UI
If you've ever contributed to a ground zero start-up, for equity, this may resonate with you. There is work we get paid for and there is work we are honored to contribute to.
Although Ballers Bridge never made me rich, the mission was what drove us to all work, for free and around the clock, on this project (circa 2012). Our goal was to help young athletes that were being taken advantage of, reach their maximum potential. The drive of the CEO, a former professional ball player and a former Stanford grad came together and we formed the avengers.
By the summer of 2012 we had graduated Stanford's StartX accelerator program and raised some capital. Inevitably we were not monetizing enough to sustain, but the experience of pitching to huge Silicon Valley VCs, building a brotherhood of co-founders, renting a house in Mountain View, and traveling all over the US to basketball tournaments was incredible.
I've since started my own business and I could not of done this without the experience of Ballers Bridge. The guys I worked with will always be family!
