Thirty Logos : Ping - Concept Sketch

The start of another week, with a new post of "Thirty Logos", which is all about learning the process of logo design and make myself valuable.

BRIEF

This brand is called Ping which is a growing chat platform for businesses and small teams. What sets them apart is that they offer group screen sharing free of charge.

They wanted the logo to be text-based, with an icon that represents the ping brand. They were open to any color schemes with an exception to blue.

PROCESS

I first started with a mind-map which you can see in the first attachment. This one took at least 3 days to come up with a desirable idea, since most ideas were too abstract.

I wanted to go with an idea that wasn't too common, but ended up going with an idea that best represent a chat platform.
