Digital Organizing Text Messagers

This illustration was created as the hero image for a NationBuilder article about digital organizing. Intended for the Australian market, this article highlights the benefits of digital organizing that organizations stateside may already be familiar with.

At the time, this illustration needed a quick turnaround, and an effort was made to either borrow from previous and/or unused art from earlier assignments. Again, a concerted effort was made to create flexible, rounded, line art that is meant to keep the viewer’s eye flowing around the art, unimpeded by as many “hard-stops” as possible. The thinking behind the art is that the purple person is sending their purple text message through their purple phone to the phone of the green person. When the green person receives the message, their face begins to turn purple, symbolically representing a supporter absorbing/processing/adopting the message.
