Saint Maximilian Kolbe Spread

Last month, I got to work on an illustration for a children's counting numbers book aimed to teach children about the Catholic Saints. For Saint Kolbe, he gave his life to save a man who had a family. 10 prisoners at Auschwitz were starved as punishment for one of the prisoners escaping.

Definitely a tough story to convey to small children but I think the illustration turned out well without being too graphic.
