Grith

There are two possible meanings for "Grith", according to multiple online dictionaries. One is guaranteed security under special conditions, and the other a sanctuary. My first thought was to illustrate the first meaning. I imagined people seeking refuge to a fictional kingdom which reminded me a lot of one of the novel drafts that I wrote. I think we're all familiar with the nagging feeling when something just doesn't feel right.

I spent a couple hours letting the thought simmer in my head while I sketch until it eventually linked itself to a previous illustration, continuing an unspoken story between a mysterious magician and a moose -- the guardian of the forest.
