We're working on a book design about sea preservation, in which every chapter gets a fully illustrated page.

It was fun to try out some things and experiment with different shapes, patterns and textures. Here's one that didn't make the cut, but we still like certain parts of this design.

In the process of designing we frequently invert our screen colors, to see if the composition works. But this often results in cool and inspiring new color palettes. That’s how we came up with these particular colors.
