Pump House
The Victorian Gothic waterworks pumped water uphill from the James River to a reservoir in Byrd Park from 1883 to 1924. The building was also a gathering space and even had a dance floor on a balcony overlooking the pump room.
Today, it is slowly being restored in the hopes of being a parks system visitor's center or a James River museum!
