Primary School Logo

Logo for a local primary school in Onehunga, Auckland, New Zealand. The school looks out over a harbour that is no more than a kilometre away. Seagulls are a common sight and symbolise the community's close affinity with the harbour. There is also a tie-in with the early navigators who were guided to New Zealand by sea birds. The spiral design is a common motif that depicts fresh new growth and new beginnings (these are 5-10 years old children). The spiral, or koru also represents the Land.

The logo had to appear on both yellow and green clothing.
