Steamed stuffed bun is an ancient traditional pasta, usually wrapped in bread stuffing, mainly made of flour and stuffing, originated in Sichuan. Legend has it that Zhu Geliang was invented in the Three Kingdoms period (more than 1800 years ago).
The use of the name steamed stuffed bun began in the Song Dynasty, "Yan Yiyi Yimou Lu": "Renzong's birthday, give the steamed stuffed bun of Puchen." Baozi post annotation said: "that is the name of steamed bread".
