Truth in Postmodernism DVD Set

This is a collection of DVD cases designed for Plexifilm about a group of four designers, the Masters of Postmodernism: James Victore, Stefan Sagmeister, Peter Saville, and Art Chantry. The films would be documentaries on each designers’ work and life. Each designer has a word that epitomizes his philosophy and ties to the object he was given. The purpose of this is to encapsulate each designer’s work while also creating visual interest and curiosity among the audience.
James Victore’s word is Honest and his item is a toilet paper roll because he tells universal truths bluntly and directly. Stefan Sagmeister’s word is Ephemeral and his item is a banana peel because his work focuses on the ephemeral quality of life. Peter Saville’s word is Freewheeling and his item is a cigarette butt because of his freewheeling approach to design and design history. And lastly, Art Chantry’s word is Discarded and his item is a piece of chewed gum because his work reclaims the things society discards.
