CUREkids icon - "Sponsor" draft - FEEDBACK PLEASE

I need some real constructive criticism on this. It's an early draft, but for as much time as I put into it I hoped I'd be alot further along. I spent some time working with gradient mesh, but I couldn't get what I wanted out of it.

I'm really not feeling what I have here, but I don't know if it's just because I had something else in mind. I think it really starts to break down at smaller sizes too.

What do you think?? Please be blunt. :-)
