design everyday life

i think sometimes people don’t realize how much design is a constant part of everyday life. they think that if you don’t put any thought into how you “design” something (write, arrange, etc) that you didn’t design anything. but it’s the same as a sin of omission: you still made a choice there. you still made a decision regarding something’s visual appearance, even if you did nothing at all.
