Shogun

Earlier this year I joined Shogun, a drag+drop storefront editor, as their first designer. I've been working on rebuilding their app and editor, but the first project I can share was a bit of a detour from product design to rebranding.

We explored a lot of different options from the minimalistic to the overly characteristic, but landed on this simple approach.

When Shōgun is properly written, it has a macron above the o. We decided to play up on this with a dynamic macron that related to imagery such as a Katana, and the pressing of a button.
