🌚Night Mode — Beat Driver

Designers’ bucket list crossoff: Night mode UI.

Since we released the new Beat Driver app, Night mode has been the #1 requested feature. Our drivers complained a lot about the brightness of the interface during night hours, so we started exploring how we could alter this aspect to make their experience less staring-at-the-sun and more dark-knight-friendly.

Aside from working in pitch black rooms with sunglasses on (not really) we utilised the Midnight theme for Sketch to tone down some of the surrounding white while designing, but also took the new designs to the streets to test them and make sure things are as legible as the light version.
