II X

A poster concept I made a while back for a metal show. In the spirit of playing with Type as Image, I chose to highlight the date, 02-10-2018 (II-X).

In one day, I sprayed each numeral separately, photographed them, retouched them digitally, and placed them over a texture I shot. I had a lot of fun with the analog part of the process and fine-tuning it all together later.
