Star Logo Stencil

Stencil for Te Whetu series of artworks. This logo is based around 'tututuku' designs, a decorative Maori art form that adorns the interior walls of traditional houses. The cross at the centre is regularly used to represent a star, often in white, on a black background. The shapes as a whole also hark back to the colonial flags of early settlers and the seafaring sailors that made the journey out to New Zealand.
