Component specs - Tooltips

Long time no see!

I've been working on design documentation a lot lately and I'm finding it really hard to articulate what each component does and how to establish rules where there's none so I'm writing a lot and doing research to absorb as much as possible to write and lay out the best possible design documentation for my team.

This shot in particular is about tooltips, one of the first product related tasks I was asked to design when I first joined Algolia. I'd love to hear thoughts about how to talk about tooltips or components in general and, not just open but, desperately seeking feedback and information about design specs, documentation or whatever you'd like to call it. :)
