Robot - Process

This is how I created yesterday's Illustration. I traced and created outline from the sketch and worked around it a little bit till it looked good.

It is really good idea to finish outline before moving up to coloring, shading and detailing steps. For me, it sometimes gets really hard to fix the outline after all those coloring and shadings are done. It takes a lot of time, so I try to finish the outline first.

I did experiment and tried around 10 different color variations, I have chosen Blue and Orange palette because it had more robotic feels than the others.
