Time tracking software - Active State: Status

Windows WPF Time Tracking Software.

Added a top bar which is indicator for the state of the tracked time. There are several states such as released, locked or pendant. In addition I changed the colors of the bars to fit the state.

The state is visible if the user clicks on an item, otherwise there is just the color indicator. I don't like it this way. I think the state bar is too aggressive.

Any suggestions for alternative ways?
