30th SEA Games Philippines Bid — Fictive Version (Logo)
Following the backlash created by the logo concept for the Philippines bid for the 30th SEA Games, I decided to create my own rendition for the logo.
The concept is inspired by Philippine textiles, especially the diamond-shaped patterns that they have. Eleven diamond-shaped patterns representing the eleven nations participating in the Games form together the Philippine map, symbolizing the nations coming together for the spirit of sport and unity, like tightly-woven traditional Filipino cloth. The colors are inspired by sapin-sapin, a Filipino dessert known for its colorful layers.
Let me know what you think, and give this shot an "L" if you like it! 🏀💖
