N— S— Monogram

The letters of this monogram are based on the French cursive hand known as Ronde.

Because this is a personal mark for an illustrator and not, say, a trademark, my opinion is that legibility of the component letters is subsidiary to the distinctiveness of the newly formed character.

Have I taken this too far though?
