Portfolio Exploration I
Here's something I haven't done in a while: designing my portfolio. It was something that I used to do a lot; dating right back to when I starting creating my own making blogs at 13/14. But I haven't really done an exercise like this in about 4 years.
These days, I feel having a personal site, rather than a portfolio, is more apt for where I am in my career. It's a place where I can of course tell stories about select work that have been important to me but it'll also be a hub for my writing.
I love and hate designing for myself in equal measure. It's the purest exploration of my own personal aesthetic without the usual limitations. It allows me to design in ways that I don't usually do on a day-to-day basis. On the other hand, that lack of limitation? It's probably what makes this so hard to do so and like most designers, I'm probably my own worst critic.
Nevertheless, I'm determined to once more have a solid place where I can say more about myself and my work (vs the 2 paragraphs that I have on my current site). So, let's see where this goes.
