Cherry Tree Logo Concept
Concept for a company called "Cherry Tree".
The mark depicts three cherry trees—two standing and one that has been cut down. The idea behind the logo comes from one of America's greatest myths—George Washington cutting down his fathers cherry tree.
The story goes that when Washington was six years old he received a hatchet as a gift and damaged his father’s cherry tree. And when confronted by his father, young George said, "I cannot tell a lie…I did cut it with my hatchet." Ironically, this iconic story about the value of honesty was actually a lie in itself, invented by one of Washington’s first biographers to better sell his book.
