I’ve been wanting to make a watermelon since the beginning of this project but kept stalling because I couldn’t decide what shape to make. Watermelons exist in so many interesting forms: oblong ovoid, wobbly pyramid, flat slice, halved ovoid, lil cubes. I wanted to do a triangular lump but thought it would look ridiculous, so I actually went into today thinking I’d make a sphere with a flat side. Once I started smooshing the loose floof ball with my hands, a triangular slice seemed possible so I went for it and I’m happy it worked out! Maybe I should let the poms do their own thing more often?
