rethinkCAFÉ visual identity for design incubator

rethinkCAFÉ was a Southern California design incubator focused on beach tech. The organization aimed to foster collaboration and innovation within the beachtech industry by providing resources and support to emerging startups and entrepreneurs.

Design Process: To begin the design process, I conducted extensive research on the beach tech industry and the rethinkCAFÉ's target audience. We also met with the organization's leadership team to understand their brand values and goals for the new logo.

Based on research and discussions with the rethinkCAFÉ team, I identified the following key design elements to incorporate into the logo:

* Beach and ocean themes: As a beach tech incubator, it was important to incorporate elements that reflect the organization's connection to the ocean and beach culture.

* Collaboration and innovation: The rethinkCAFÉ promotes collaboration and innovation within the beach tech industry, so we wanted to convey these values in the logo.

* Modern and tech-focused: The beach tech industry is a rapidly growing and evolving field, so we wanted to design a logo that reflects the organization's focus on technology and innovation.

With these design elements in mind, we began sketching and brainstorming ideas for the logo. After several rounds of iteration and refinement, we landed on a concept that incorporated a stylized wave in the shape of a "C,"

representing the organization's connection to the ocean and its focus on collaboration. The wave also symbolized the flow of ideas and innovation, which are central to the rethinkCAFÉ's mission.

To bring the logo to life, we created a high fidelity digital rendering using Adobe Illustrator. We experimented with different color palettes, but ultimately decided on a blue and green color scheme to reflect the ocean and beach themes. We also added a subtle gradient effect to give the logo a more dynamic and modern look.

Outcome: The rethinkCAFÉ team was extremely pleased with the final logo design. They felt that it accurately reflected the organization's values and mission, and that it conveyed a sense of modernity and innovation. The new logo has been well received by the beach tech community and has helped to increase the organization's visibility and reputation within the industry.
