NSCAD Graduation Catalogue 2015
During my internship at The Anna Leonowens Gallery, my main task was to design and manage the production of the university's graduation catalogue for 2015.
The full scope of the project includes a print and online catalogue, promotional material and graphics for the exhibition.
I created a visual representation of NSCAD’s kaleidoscope by using the lion statues and a variety of marks. The colours were chosen to represent the diversity of the NSCAD community. Each colour variation creates a triad that links to NSCAD's motto: head, heart, hand.
My faculty advisor, May Chung, is/was very huge on the importance on typography and creating proper type and layout systems. Apart from the kaleidoscope pattern, the rest of the design and materials were simple with a major focus on good typesetting + typography.
