A new shot of mine.

You are NOT wrong, this is exactly a cathedral, a special one.

Located in Ninh Binh province, the northern of Vietnam, Phat Diem Cathedral was built with main materials of stone and wood in 1875.

This construction is a combination of Western architectural style and Vietnamese religious buildings. Actually, I thought of Phat Diem like a Vietnamese temple rather than a church at the first sight. Anyway, it is this feature that makes the church unique.
