My first Mobile Web App from 2011
In 2011, before Facebook had Ads, we had to use image libraries in an attempt to get small business owners using iPhone 4 to publish their ads on their Facebook like gate.
Then in the summer of 2011, at WWDC Keynote, Apple announced that its Safari iOS would allow websites to upload images and videos through the mobile browser.
Overnight, I stayed up late coding all the CSS and HTML to be mobile first and responsive, so by the next morning our users could upload their own business photos instead of stock imagery.
The result was that more authentic imagery increased sales for one small business owner by $10K.
This was my very first foray into mobile web app design and development. It was also when I started to call myself a User Experience Designer.
