Logo for myself

I tried for a long time to come with some ideas to use on a logo for myself. This is the latest one.
I want some feedback regarding the shape (do you understand that is a "FG" without reading my name?) and the font.

P.S.: I'm a photographer (also a graphic and web designer), but I don't like those classic logos for photographers, like aperture blades, so I try to do something with my initials (which looks like the worst in the world, because I have a lot of ideas for other letters).
