These are a series of illustrations I did based on my travels through Spain. I've created three illustrations per city visited.

City 1: Salamanca

These symbols, known as Vitors, can be seen all over the city and date back to the 12th century. I was particularly drawn to them because each one is made up of the letters “V.I.T.O.R” and what’s either seen as a C or a crescent moon. Each artist would lay the letters out in their own unique style. I was so fascinated by this that I actually got a book which goes over the history of the mark and the unique font found throughout the city.
