Mom's Travel Blog :)

I'm working on a little travel blog for my soon-to-be-retired Mom.

I tend to start with Photoshop mockups for projects (even with all this browser-first talk, I still find it easier) then move to markup/css later. For those of you who follow suit, how do you deal with mocking up floats, such as this calendar icon?
