Do I have to?

My sister and I have been having lots of analytical chats lately about fangirl culture and how it's such a powerful and usually positive thing, and how straight guys are generally not free to act the same way / experience the same emotions toward female artists without sexualizing them, and how even if it was socially acceptable, would it happen? Is there an equivalent thing men get similarly emotional about? I guess sports? Lol I could write a full essay of questions about this.
