Love, Koko

Here's my illustrated tribute to Koko the gorilla. I remember reading "Koko's Kitten" when I was younger and, more recently, I watched "Koko: The Gorilla Who Talks To People" on PBS.

This illustrates Koko giving her instructor and caregiver, Francine "Penny" Patterson, a flower. My heart goes out to all the handlers and everyone over Koko & The Gorilla Foundation (especially Penny). And to everyone who was touched (physically or emotionally) by this sweet ambassador to gorillas. We need more love in the world.
