Happy Log

I wanted to have a play around with Cinema 4D and After Effects.

I used the 'Happy Log' that my wife bought for £2 in Grassmere in the Lake District as a subject. We couldn't believe that someone was cheeky enough to sell logs with two eye drilled into them and a mouth drawn on in pen for £2. We couldn't stop talking about them.

When we went back a year later, we ended up buying one :) They got us!

I drew the log outline in Illustrator and used Roughen to make the bark wobbles. I then extruded that in C4D. I used a Boole to carve the eyes out of the log (not that you can really see it).

I used Shade It to create the texture.
