MPC 3000

The legendary MPC 3000 — Released in 1993, it was the last Akai sampler that Roger Linn had a hand in creating. Famously used by J Dilla, Dr. Dre, Pete Rock, and many more, it was known for its rock solid timing and "warm" sound.

I'm lucky enough to have one of my own, and despite its age, it's both a joy to use and surprisingly powerful.

The 3000 is the perfect expression of simplicity and technology built to last.
