Sun Warmed Abode

Hey.

I'll admit it, I haven't exactly been active on dribbble. But don't infer that as me losing interest or hitting a creative wall. I've just been busy! Both with work and other personal projects that aren't these simple square "designs" that dribbble forces me to squeeze on an 800x600 canvas.

I got the idea for this design from Adobe architecture. I was wondering what Adobe (whose software made this design possible) actually meant. It was wonderful to see it also referred to these simple and plain desert clay buildings.

Immediately the first thing I did was do some sketches of Adobes that caught my eye on the internet. They were smooth to draw and thought it'd be a cool idea for a design.

The concept here is how I tried presenting the architecture. I removed color (just wanted to keep it monochrome for now) and started liking the contrasting buildings that came out seamlessly on illustrator.

What did I learn from this? Besides what Adobes are, it was a fun short foray into using architecture as a graphic design pattern of sorts. The geometric sweeps and shutes are enticing to me and making this design helped me imagine many other ways I can use architecture to show other ideas.

I hope that wasn't too long a read. To be fair, it's a nice change of pace than my descriptions from before. I'm just trying to explain what went through my mind to bring this to life. I do not think it's a beautiful final design worth showing. I treat dribbble more as a place to experiment.
