Ex 2 - Tobe Nwigwe (The Originals).
First of all - if you haven't heard of this dude I would highly recommend looking him up on youtube and not only listening to his music but taking in every part of his music videos. The color palettes, camera movements and overall style of this crew influenced all of the design decisions I made throughout this exploration.
The biggest challenge for me from the very beginning of this one was that I had so many ideas and directions I wanted to take this that it took me quite a while to bring it all together - and to be honest, I'm not totally satisfied with where I ended up. I could go back in and continue to do variations based solely on color palette and trying to integrate each of different video aspects into a single design, but I'm realizing that this is my favorite part of this internal design exercise. When the clock hits zero - that's it - pixels down and time to present to the group.
A lot of times I get really caught up in working each and every design until I have that "Ah Ha" moment and I feel confident that its the best that it can be. This is really forcing me out of my OCD comfort zone, and I'm learning to love the quick initial ideation process a lot more because of it.
