Incoming lengthy post!

I’ve teamed up with my homies @Real Thread for their Summer of Giving campaign. I’ve selected St. Vincent de Paul as my charity to give back to because they saved my family and I a number of years ago.

When I was 10, my dad had lost his job and we had to move in order for my mom to keep hers. We sold a majority of our belongings and moved to Phoenix with only a few suitcases between us. We slept on air mattresses and relied on food stamps for a good while.

In comes St. Vincent de Paul, a life-saving organization that provided us with food, clothing, and even Christmas presents one year. They not only provided us with physical goods but with hope and peace of mind. Each day became a little bit easier thanks to St. Vincent. It’s amazing to now return the favor and give back to an organization that gave it all to us.
