Samuel Clemens — aka Mark Twain
Born with the coming of Halley’s Comet in 1835, Samuel Clemens — one of the greatest and most influential (and humorous) early American authors — lived to the ripe old age of 74. He passed away in 1910, a day after Halley's Comet once again made its closest pass to the planet. Conspiracy!?
