Zeldaisland
For this print, as was it's partner from last year, is based off a video game character. The character itself is Zelda from, well, Zelda. The idea is the same as the last, with the character standing on a lone floating island and with a unique design from its portrayal in ANY of the existing games. The Link print was more simple. But when making the outfit designs for Zelda I went all out.
I designed everything, even the bow.
I kept the basic colour scheme from most of the games, including more Blue to match with the Breath of the Wild series(Same as Link). I wanted to portray her as an active fighter, though still royalty, and kept key element ideas. Though she doesnt have the piece of cloth that starts from the waist and narrows to a point, I DID keep that idea in the way her dress is designed. It usually contains a pattern on it and I kept that with a sort of summary of zelda lore. It includes the triforce, the skyward sword birds, the three goddesses, and the demon lord ganon(Though very well covered by the bow).
Each celtic inspired design is self designed. There is a combination of that and the cloudy like pattern. The shoulder blade shows only half, but it includes the sheikah symbol.
Her island was difficult because I was replicating something I wasn't familliar with when I first did it and winged it, now having to make something similliar. Its more detailed. And the top of the island needed to be a broken city/village style and not the field like Link.
