Caffe Latte
Supposedly, the first English language use of the term caffè latte is credited to American author William Dean Howells in his 1867 essay “Italian Journeys”.
And according to Wikipedia, "In Canada, a latte-drinker is also the political representation of a left-wing intellectual urban elitist liberal snob." Anyone want to confirm or deny?
