"M4A"
I did this t-shirt illustration for renowned South African metal festival, Metal4Africa's 'Winterfest' edition this year.
I went pretty nuts with the halftones, but that's never a bad thing. ;)
The artwork showcases a dark shaman character summoning a fierce spirit from African baskets, which is portrayed in the form of a tribal mask (with some 'Metal' modifications). *insert excessive head-banging here.
The illustration was not only used for the event's shirt, but also appears on a lot of branding and promotional material for the event.
