The Hunt
I offered a custom one-off print as a prize for the @Standardistas's world famous Open Book Exam. The winner was Mr Greg Meek so based upon his favourite animal, the whale, I worked on an idea I've had for some time now.
I have this vision of a desert-like planet, where whales fly in the air rather than in the ocean. Usually cruising thousands of feet up, they descend lower down every so often to lap up the rich oxygen. This is where the inhabitants hunt them using spears with ropes wrapped around rocks to weigh them down.
After getting this idea from my head down on paper, I think I might pursue it a little more. Watch this space.
