Monywa is a city in Sagaing Region, Myanmar. Laykyun Setkya buddha image is one of the most famous place in Monywa. It was built by Bodhi Tahtaung Sayadaw (venerable monk) and the 2nd tallest Buddha Image in the world at 116 meters. Since its completing in 2008, the image has become one of the main tourist attractions in Myanmar.
