The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy - Logo sketches

An archived (2015) project.
The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy was an ambitious
conservation initiative disguised as a gift. Each of the 53
Commonwealth countries committed to collectively protecting a vast area of rain forest in order to commemorate the anniversary of Her Majesty’s inauguration.

This logo (worked on whilst at charity, Cool Earth) was designed to hint at that concept; the favourite logo mark is made up of 53 different leaves in total; whilst the arc shape refers to the way in which Cool Earth works: Enabling indigenous villages to continue to live in harmony with their environment without selling off land. Each village that Cool Earth works ends up protecting an arc of rainforest around the village.
