New Life Church Logomark

To start my #logoseries, here's the logomark I created for New Life Church. It's the first identity system the 30-year-old megachurch has had.

When designing the new logo, I had to take into consideration the sensitivity and transition New Life Church was experiencing from losing its founding pastor and gaining a new leader. Like any great logo, it should identify rather than communicate, so the new logomark is made up of two existing and most notable physical characteristics—the 'cupola', and the shape of their flagship building.
