Madiba

Nelson Mandela's real name is Rolihlahla, which means "troublemaker" in his native Xhosa language. He was imprisoned by the Afrikaner government of South Africa for 26 years because of his activism against apartheid. He is also known as Madiba, which is the name of his clan, and Mhulu, which means grandfather in Xhosa.

Mandela, despite horrible treatment for 3 decades at the hands of the Afrikaner government, worked hard for racial reconciliation and reached out to white leaders and celebrities such as sports stars.

Set #3 of the Diversity Avatars collection, avatars 201-300 of 1,000, is scheduled for release on June 1, 2018. This set will include more celebrities, super heroes, historical figures, and cultures from around the world.
