The Source

I had an idea for a little motion graphic and this was the concept graphic I created for it. I think it turned out to be more complicated then I thought. Not sure I like it enough to put the time into animating it though...

The idea was to show this important concept in an abstract way: We have all these things in our life we pour energy into with the hope of getting energy and fulfillment back out. It could be a relationship, a job, a hobby, status or even motion graphics. And while they're not necessarily bad, they don't ever quite deliver what they promise. They always leave you wanting more and moving on to the next thing you think will fulfill that itch. It's a wild goose chase... However there is one thing that does deliver and infact over delivers. One thing that if you just pour a little energy into, as in surrendering and saying "I can't do it on my own. You take my life and make something meaningful out of it".
That has been something I've been reminded of recently and it's hugely important to me.
