Kerouac Park Logo

This is a logo for a revitalization project being run by the City of Lowell and several partners. They are raising money to redesign and landscape a local park that has seen better days.

The key focal point of the park is a piece of public art from ~1980 honoring Jack Kerouac, who is a native of Lowell.

The logo takes the shape of the sculpture as seen from above, and stylizes it. The right-most triangle section is made from the negative space between the K and the E.

Pink was chosen as the sculpture is made out of rose granite, which has a very 80's look to it. Though the system supports black, white, and single color.

I also made a pattern from the shape to be used as texture in other compositions or signage.
